EMpulse Society

EmPulse Society was established in 2015 and has recently reaffiliated with the SU.

Emergency medical treatment is not widely taught during medical school training, with very little time spent in an acute medical setting. Therefore, we feel this aspect of the training programme is lacking and aim to provide students with the opportunity to further their knowledge of emergency medicine.

ANNUAL EVENTS

1. Emergency Medicine Teaching Series – Personalized lectures on key emergency topics from FYs and Consultants (certificates provided)
2. Annual Emergency Medical Conference (Fall Semester)
3. Annual Mock OSCEs and MCQs for ISCM & EIPOM (helpful questions made by older students!!)
4. Suturing and Intubation Workshops
