Cheerleading

About us

The UCLan Tigers Cheerleading Squad was founded in April 2007 and has since seen huge growth into one of the most successful clubs at UCLan. Cheerleading is a team-based sport that is relatively new in the UK. If you enjoy developing new skills, teamwork, and performance then this is the sport for you.

UCLan Tigers is suitable for both all genders, with no experience necessary. While we cater for all abilities, we ask for a high level of hard work, dedication, and commitment from every single member.

It’s not all work though! We promise that you will make friends for life though our fortnightly drinking/non-drinking socials, collaborating with other sports teams and our awareness/ charity fundraising events.

We pride ourselves on having something for everyone, if this sounds like it is for you then come and meet the team at Sports Fair on Wednesday 27th September

*please do not sign up for membership until after try-outs have taken place as this will determine membership price*

Student Group Elections 2024

Every year our clubs and societies elect a new team of students to take their group into the new academic year. Being on a committee is a great way to become more involved with the community at UCLan, meet new friends and develop new and existing skills for your CV. Anyone can be on a committee, as long as you are a member of your club or society. Students that are elected onto a committee through this election will start their role on 1st August 2024 until 31st July 2025. Could you be the next leader of your club or society?

722 posts are up for election.

Nominations are now closed.

The polls open at 09:00 on Friday 19 April 2024 (in 109 minutes)
