This is the official group page of the UCLan Labour Society.
Welcome to the UCLan Labour Society! This society aims to encourage students to become more politically active and provide a space for like-minded students to come together to share their passion for Labour, politics and delivering a Labour government.
As a society, we have direct contact with Preston CLP and other local CLPs such as, Blackburn. Our aim is to get involved with local canvassing and campaigning as well as on a national level. You do not need to be a member of the Labour Party to join the society, but it is certainly recommended to become a member. It’s £3 a year, a discounted rate for students, join at join.Labour.org.uk.
The society also creates opportunities for members to engage with other students and expand on their views through socials and debates. Being a society member is a rewarding experience and enhances your student life while at UCLan.
We welcome all members from socialists to social democrats, the Labour Party is a broad church and so is this society.
Join us and the make most out of your student life.
