About us

Hello and welcome to UCLan Women's Futsal Team

Do you want to be a part of one of the most fastest-growing participation sports in the UK?

Futsal is an exciting sport and all top footballers today, Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar started off playing this before they became involved with the 11-a-side game.

The  first Female Iranian futsal player Fereshteh Karimi was shortlisted for the title of the Best Woman Player of the World, maybe you could be amongst our shining players here at UCLan!

What is Futsal?

Futsal is is an indoor version of 5-a-side football played on a hard court and with a harder ball with 30% less bounce. The sport develops ball control and passing in small spaces developing your improvisation, creativity and technique.

Join us and you will have the opportunity to compete in BUCS Futsal Leagues where round robin fixtures will be played against local universities. Throughout the year the team will host and travel to a variety of friendlies and tournaments playing against people with a wide range of abilities.

We are open to members of all abilities who want to meet new people, be part of a strong team, and develop themselves as a futsal player. By joining you will be able to take part in a variety of social events throughout the year.

In addition to the following Training Times we are planning social 5-a-side sessions at UCLan Sports Arena ( more details coming soon)
