The Basketball Club is one of the most successful clubs here at UCLan.
We have sessions opened to anyone whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player. We have two men's Teams and two Women's Teamswho compete in the BUCS Leagues and we deliver recreational basketball sessions throughout the year.
All fixtures and training take place at Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre
Training Times 2024-25 ( Winter & Spring Semesters / September- Easter only)
Monday 5-6pm Men's 2nd Team
Monday 6-8pm Women's Basketball
Monday 8-10pm Men's 1st & National League Squad
Thursday 8-10pm Men's 1st Team
Friday 4:30 - 5:30pm Women's Basketball
Friday 5:30 - 7:30pm Men's 2nd Team
Friday 8.30pm - 10pm Social/SU League shared with Medics Basketball Medics Basketball (uclansu.co.uk)
If selected to play in the BUCS Squad, additional fees are payable via the Achieve Site

Every year our Student Groups elect a new team of students to take their group into the new academic year. Being on a committee is a great way to become more involved with the community at UCLan, meet new friends and develop new and existing skills for your CV.
