Welcome to the UCLAN Athletics and Cross-Country Club website.
First and foremost the club aims to provide an inclusive, welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all abilities. Whether you have experience running for a hometown club, or if you’re just interested in getting fit, we have sessions and coaching to suit you, and to ensure you feel part of our team.
Being a member of our team gives you the opportunity to compete at a wide range of events, from British University and College Sport Championships, cross-country races and relays, indoor and outdoor track events, to fun runs, local races and colour dashes!
Although competitions provide our members with a chance to shine, we prioritise enthusiasm, enjoyment and togetherness so our athletes feel confident and positive about themselves and their goals.
We have full access to a range of University facilities, and take advantage of UCLAN Sports Arena’s athletics track for a range of training sessions. Other locations such as Avenham Park provide ideal conditions for cross-country, interval, and hill training to boost stamina and strength.
Collaboration with experienced coaches at Preston Harriers Athletics Club also allows us to provide high quality, event-specific coaching, and sessions which effectively match your ability level.
Athletes are also encouraged to take part in numerous social events and team building activities to boost team spirit and ultimately…to just have fun!
