Hello! We are ICE and we are an ice & figure skating team!
Our team is for people of all abilities and we don’t want this to be a competition based team but the chance of competing will be offered if people are interested in it and can be something to work towards in the training session!
Overall, it’ll be a safe space for people to learn and improve their abilities on the ice it’s also a great way to improve general fitness we hope to inspire people with our love for the ice and to bring something different and enjoyable to university life!
Message from the chair: Learning to ice skate and wanting to learn to figure skate has been a dream of mine and I hope to help bring the dream alive for not just me but for others too!
Every year our Student Groups elect a new team of students to take their group into the new academic year. Being on a committee is a great way to become more involved with the community at UCLan, meet new friends and develop new and existing skills for your CV. Anyone can be on a committee, as long as you are a member of your Student Group. Students that are elected onto a committee through this election will start their role on 1st August 2024 until 31st July 2025. Could you be the next leader of your Student Group? Please note this is the final opportunity to become a Student Group committee member for this academic year.
