Hiya!
I’m Molly, and I began my journey at the University of Lancashire in 2023 as a second-degree student, now proudly studying veterinary medicine. Since day one, I’ve thrown myself into student life – not just in classes, but in making sure our voices are heard where it matters most.
In my first year, I served as Course Rep, working closely with you and university staff to push for meaningful change within my school. I was truly honoured to be named ‘Course Rep of the Year 2024’ at the prestigious Golden Roses Awards. From there, I stepped into the role of School President, taking a seat on council and helping shape decisions at the university level – all with you at the heart of every conversation. I’ve also represented the veterinary community as part of the Association of Veterinary Students, ensuring you have a platform to be heard nationwide.
Through these roles, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of the challenges you face, from mental health support and financial pressures to the importance of simply being listened to. University life can be overwhelming, and that’s exactly why I campaigned to become your Student Union Rep: to be part of creating real, positive change.
Outside of my student duties, I’m admittedly a bit of a granny at heart. My ideal Saturday night? Curled up with a blanket, a hot cuppa, and a crochet hook in hand. That said, I do enjoy the occasional Mario Kart showdown with my housemate if I’m wanting to spice things up a bit!
We’ve got some big shoes to fill following our previous reps, but I’m confident that together, we can make this year one to remember.
Here’s to positive change, strong voices, and, of course, impeccable vibes!
