I came to UCLAN in 2017 to study Neuropsychology (I later changed to Psychology, rather than Neuropsychology – but that’s a whole different story). Throughout my time at Uni, I got involved in the Students’ Union in many different ways - Cheerleading, Trampolining, the Time to Change Project and was elected to the Society Development Committee (as well as spending a few too many Sundays at the Source Bar quiz and getting involved in some of the fab events the Students’ Union puts on, such as Varsity and Sports Ball.
I decided to stand for election for VP Welfare because I had always had amazing opportunities through the Students’ Union and wanted to make sure everyone else could too. But as well as having some really good times at Uni, I had some really difficult times too, which made me realise where things could be made better.
