Our Students' Union Strategy.
2020 was a chance for us to reset as a Students’ Union and focus on the things that really matter to us as an organisation.
We completed large scale research at the beginning of 2020; including a survey completed by over 1,000 students in early 2020, followed by a range of focus groups with over 60 students to dig deeper into their thoughts about the Students’ Union.
The results were reviewed and refined by our Trustee Board to help shape areas for us to focus on.
From our findings, we created a new strategy which outlines our priorities over the next three years – ‘making life better for students, piece by piece’.
The strategy focuses on three key areas:
- Student Voice,
- Student Life
- Student Community
You can read it here.
Our research shows that each of these areas are fundamental to ensure students have a successful and enjoyable experience whilst at University.
Currently, we're working with Students’ Union staff teams to embed the priorities across the organisation and we will be reporting on the progress we make to delivering upon each of them.
We’ll share with you the goals we set, as well as our achievements in each of the key focus areas throughout the next three years, as we continue to build a better student life.
