Nominations for the current By-Elections are now open and this is your opportunity to make change!
Here at the Students’ Union we have lots of roles available for you to put yourself forward for. Standing for election is a great way to develop new skills and make a positive difference.
What roles are available?
- School President: for the Schools of Community Health and Midwifery, Social Work Care & Community and Psychology and Computer Science. Could you be the lead student representative for your School? As School President you work with Course Reps and senior staff in your School to make sure students are heard and impact decisions made. Find out more about the role here.
- NUS National Conference Delegates: want to take student representation to a national level? Nominate yourself as one of our delegates and you will be able to represent UCLan students at the National Union of Students (NUS) National Conference, where you debate and vote on the policy of the NUS and vote on who leads NUS in the coming academic year.
- Students’ Council roles are still available for the representative of disabled students, the environment and ethics representative as well as the representative for international students. Being part of Students’ Council allows you to debate and vote on ideas and policy of the Students’ Union and make sure we are working on the issues that matter to students!
- PGR Rep roles: this role is for postgraduate research students. The role involves attending faculty level committees to represent the views of PGR students as well as attending a monthly forum with the Students’ Union to feedback any issues PGR students are facing and working with us on resolving them.
