By Elections are back!
Nominations are now open for this year’s by-elections- these elections are for any remaining roles that were not filled in March. All the information you need is below, but don’t forget to get in touch if you have any questions at suelections@uclan.ac.uk.
What roles are available?
One of the outcomes of some consultation and work we have been doing this year is to have an additional School President per School. This is to help share the ever-growing workload the School Presidents are asked to do, and make sure they are supported to represent your views to senior leaders in the University. We have an amazing team who were elected in March, so we are looking for one more School President for each School to join them and represent your academic interests!
We are looking for Postgraduate Research students in each School to represent the views of their peers to ensure that we hear from, and work with PGR students on issues that matter to them.
- Representative of Postgraduate students on Students’ Council
This role represents the postgraduate student voice on our Students’ Council. You would debate and vote on policies and ideas and make sure the work the Union does supports our postgraduate student community.
- Sports and Societies Development Committees
The Sports and Societies Development Committees are two elected groups of students who represent all Sports and Societies on offer within UCLan Students' Union. The Committees meet regularly to review all grant applications and affiliation requests for new groups.

Interested in leading your club or society? Set the direction of your student group by nominating yourself to be on the committee!

Just go to www.uclansu.co.uk/representation/elections and log in with your UCLan email address. You have until 3pm on Friday 30th April to put yourself forward for one of the roles for the next academic year.
Voting will then take place from Monday 10th until 3pm on Wednesday 12th May on our website. This is your chance to have your say in who represents you!
