Volunteer with WWT at Martin Mere Wetland Centre

Fish Lane, Burscough, Lancashire L40 0TA.

The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust is a charity that relies on the generous support of volunteers. Offer just a few hours of your time and help them to save wetlands for wildlife and people.

They have a new vacancy of Formal Learning Session Assistant and there are various new opportunities throughout the year so call 01704 891224 or Visit their website for more information http://www.wwt.org.uk/wetland-centres/martin-mere/

To volunteer with them, you don’t need any expert knowledge, just a keen interest in people and wildlife, a flexible approach and a ‘can-do’ attitude. The easiest way to apply is to go to https://www.wwt.org.uk/support/volunteer-with-wwt/

In many cases, volunteers are the public face of WWT, welcoming their visitors, ensuring their visit is enjoyable, and helping them to understand the work they do to save wetlands for wildlife and people. Volunteers are also engaged in backroom roles that are just as important – compiling image libraries, helping with research and conservation, and working in media and education – not to mention the very hardy teams who help to maintain their grounds and reserves in all weathers.
