Archery has a deep rooted history in Britain, ever since 1066 when Duke William defeated King Harold at Hastings and the longbow was developed into a weapon of war. Though the introduction of firearms in the 15th century made the bow redundant as a weapon of war, it did not diminish a national following for archery as a recreational sport.
Archery is fully inclusive for all, Just let us know what you require and we will sort it :)
We also have an Alumni team for Staff and Ex students, It's never too late to join!!!
We have five practice sessions a week:
Monday 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Tuesday 7.00pm - 9.30pm
Thursday 8:00pm – 9:30pm
Sometimes Saturday 2:00pm - 4:30pm
We meet outside the Students' Union/essentials half an hour before practice to the shuttle bus/lift over to the arena.
Club kit is available for use, however if you have it you can bring your own. Shirts for competition are also available to buy from the Activities Centre on the ground floor of the SU ( cost is £25, cash only).
