Candidate for the position of Surgical society - Secretary

Ashna Ashpak

Hello future surgeons, My name is Ashna and I’m a 4th year medical student.

Here’s a few reasons why you should vote for me as your next secretary:

Communication:

No more carrier pigeons or losing important teaching, research, conference etc updates to 100 other WhatsApp forwards. I will streamline our communication channels by establishing a dedicated WhatsApp group tailored for surgical enthusiasts. This platform will efficiently disseminate crucial updates and information, fostering a more direct and effective means of communication. Let’s embrace the digital age and the art of being direct.

Skill-Building Workshops:

Sometimes we just need to roll up our sleeves and get hands-on! From suturing workshops to simulated surgeries, I’ll organize events to develop skills you need to excel and impress your consultants in theatre

Inclusivity:

The Surgical Student Society is a big tent, and there’s room for everyone— future neuro, vascular, ENT, T&O, PAs or just someone who finds the sight of blood fascinating. I will ensure that every member feels valued, respected, and included.

Surgical Humor:

They say laughter is the best medicine, but sometimes surgery comes pretty close. Expect puns, jokes, and witty remarks to keep our meetings, teaching sessions and events light-hearted yet informative. Who said you can’t save lives and have a good time?

In conclusion, I kindly ask for your support to serve as your Secretary. Together, we’ll dissect challenges, suture wounds, and have a good time!
