Hello! My name is Arman Arya, a fourth-year MBBS student from Canada.
I’m running as the chair of the Medical Society because I believe that I have what it takes. I have always been eager to be involved in the student community and organize various functions for them.
I had the pleasure of being the chair of the medical society in 2022-2023. In my role, I managed our events, finances and sponsorships. In addition, with the help of my teammates, we were able to organise popular events such as Social Night, Sports Day, Halloween party, International Night, and Med ball.
I am very reliable and work well in collaboration in large groups. I am honoured to have served as the President of multiple societies, at the University of Toronto. These excellent opportunities helped me to obtain first-hand experience in teamwork and leadership.
If elected, I will arrange monthly social nights for medical students in different years to connect and network. Also, I aim to run a Stethoscope Ceremony for new students in phase 1 and have exclusive merchandise to represent their cohort on campus.
I hope you can see how much I can bring to the table as the chair. I am always ready to go above and beyond to contribute to the medical students’ community and help my future colleagues.
