The UCLan Medical Society has been an integral part of my student experience through Medschool.
Entering my 5th year of study this coming academic year, I would like to use this role to organise and involve students in both academic and non-academic events.
Ideas for the upcoming year:
- National Conference - this is something that I have been passionate about for a long time now, and would like to use MedSoc as a platform to achieve this by collaborating with other societies
- Making MedBall memorable, with possible Manchester venues and transport
- Use my current role as SoM President to oragnise mentorship oppertunities
- Network of all medical societies to coordinate events and provide high yield leraning oppertunities
- Graduation ceremony specific to medstudents
- Practice papers for all years
Through my experiences across various platforms I have built connections to help achieve these goals. My current role as Vice-chair of MedSoc has allowed me to understand the workings of the society and certain areas to improve which I would like to carry forward into next year.
I'm always around on campus or placements, if you see me around, come have a quick chat!!
