I’m Maisie and I am in my first year of being on Tigers and I am studying Veterinary Medicine. I believe that I would be a great secretary, due to my skillset, but also as I always go above and beyond with all my commitments. I always make sure am I organised, which is essential, as being secretary would require me to make sure all accommodation and transport for competitions/training is organised ahead of time, as well as sorting grant applications which allow for important funding. I have great communication skills meaning I will be able to work alongside other committee members to provide the best outcome for the club. Part of being secretary is the completion of health and risk assessments for events, I am a very analytical thinker which means I can make strategic decisions to provide a carefully thought-out risk assessment which will ensure the safety of the team.
I have a variety of experience that makes me an ideal candidate for the role. I have volunteered in veterinary practises and currently work in a monkey forest, all of which require me to be always very focussed and a great team player. I have shown to be able to balance all my commitments without letting other responsibilities get in the way in providing the best outcome I can. I have loved every aspect of being on Tigers, I would be honoured to be your secretary and if elected I promise to provide the best I can.
