I had the wonderful opportunity to be Chair of Dance Club this year and would love to carry on the title into my last year at university. From looking back at my year as chair, I’ve learnt so many things and I am constantly trying to improve and better my actions. I think the Society would benefit from having someone with confidence, and the willingness to always want to make things the best that they can be. The team has come leaps and bounds in the last year, and I hope we're a society that people feel comfortable to join. One of my goals is to carry on making this society a safe and judgemental free space where people can come to dance and enjoy themselves. If I were to carry on the title of chair, I have some major plans for next year. I would love for us to host our own competition in which our current committee have some plans for. I would also love to expand our timetable and add in some different and unique styles that we didn’t have this year, for example Irish. Next year, I hope to join more classes that I'm not teaching and maybe learn a new style. If elected chair for next year, I look forward to working with my committee more, and I won’t be afraid to ask for help if I need it. I can’t wait for next year, and I hope we can make the Dance Society even better than it already is!
