Hi guys its Poppie here, I would like to be your Chair this year. I know most of you know me quite well but if you are unaware, I’m a second year studying forensic science and criminal investigation and I have been apart of rugby for 2 years now. I really think id be good as chair as I already have experience with helping organise and manage a team with my cricket club at home as I started a women’s team at my club when I was 16. During this time, I was responsible for recruiting players, organising training and matches and also captaining the team. I have used this experience to set up a rounders team at UCLan, which has allowed me to gain a comfortable working relationship with the SU staff as well as making me already aware of how a team at UCLan is run. One of my main goals as chair this year would be to ensure that stash will be designed and organised for you to purchase at the beginning of the season, as I know that many people have expressed there want for stash and upset about the lack of stash for the last 2 years. Another goal I have for next year is getting the team involved in more charity events and I would like to take into account any charities that may be important to individuals as well as the team as a whole.
