I would be suited for this role well as I am going into my 4th year at UCLan and my 3rd year playing for UCLan FC. I have been going to socials regularly since being part of this university, within two different football societies meaning I have gained valuable experience on how socials work and how to organise them. From this I have gained many friends throughout the club and made friends in other societies from joint socials which I will use to my advantage to organise joint socials if i get this role.
I feel a social security needs to keep socials fresh and make them inclusive to everyone at the club. I will be looking to introduce more team bonding events to create good team bonding between the club meaning if you get promoted up a team your teammates will not be strangers and you would get the chance to create connections with them prior to this. This will benefit not only off the pitch but helping get good results on the pitch. I would be looking to bring back socials from previous years and be looking to bring in ideas from players so everyone can get involved in what socials we do. This will help produce good socials to make them fun and memorable and which hopefully we can look back on our time at university as a good experience being part of UCLan FC.
