Aine and I think we would be beneficial for Social Secretary as we have both attend often, have strong ideas on how to improve activities at socials and how to run them with confidence. We have discussed new ideas and new goals to improve the reputation of our team and give back to our community, such as charity events. As a member of multiple sports in first year (rugby, netball, pole) I gained knowledge of how other teams run a social and what not to do, I have discovered that our team have the best dynamic and bond which has led me to love the Rugby girls greatly inside and outside the sport. Aine and I believe that we can continue the great reputation that previous Social Secretaries have built up and would like to continue building connections with other teams to expand this reputation by asking for more joint socials with teams that we haven’t previously. We are already brainstorming new ideas for themes on Socials, as well as sober social ideas, such as days out aside from Wednesdays, along with keeping the teams’ favourite nights that everyone enjoys. I have already had some experience as a Social Secretary on Pole Fitness due to absences and have gained good initiative when put on the spot to bring the social teams together and run a good night, as well as running and organising Rounders sessions. Overall we believe that we are a strong team and will be successful in the role of Social Secretary.
