Being part of the club for two years now, including one year as a committee member has allowed me to showcase my leadership skills, understand UCLan athletics from a new perspective, and help the club grow in all aspects.
Athletics is one of my passions that I can dedicate my efforts towards. I committed my time to trainings and practices, helped newcomers adjust and answered any questions or concerns they had, and work past limits in ensuring a smooth running club.
Despite only 4 committee members, I can vouch for myself and my fellow committee members in standing up and taking responsibility to help the team, especially while juggling multiple tasks at once.
In my tenure this past year I helped the club get new memberships, organise socials, make over 40 instagram posts, establish the club on various other social media platforms, and most importantly work with the committee to enrol in competitions and meets, helping gain record breaking attendance from the athletes.
As I hope to showcase my leadership talents once again, as the club secretary, I can only promise you that I will give my best once again, as I have done. I will support each and every member of this club. To see UCLan athletics on top is my goal for the upcoming year, and with your help and the help of the new committee I hope to achieve that.
