Hey, I'm Tom, and I'm running to be your Treasurer for the 24/25 season! This would be my third year here at UCLan styduing Architecture, and as a Tiger. Joining this community has made my university experience as great as it has been and I'm eager to become a part of the committee that runs it.
While I had never been a cheerleader before, I had trained, taught, and competed in kickboxing; this experience involved money as I was a part of a fundraising campaign, and had to save and pay for equiptment and competition fees. I would also have to communicate with students, parents, and coaches about many different aspects- which is important because, as your treasurer, I will have to communicate with yourselves and comittee.
I also have experience handling money as I have worked with tills and handling payments in a part time job: using maths on the spot and working quickly with money.
As part of my course, people skills are key, as I have to work with many different people in difficult situations. This means that, naturally, I am good at organising and collecting payments, taking into account peoples circumstances: if you are struggling there is something we could work out together, and I'll always be happy to help that.
