As Filipino Society Chair for the past two years, I have seen this Society grow so much, not just in numbers but also in regard to the Culture at the heart of Filipino Society. I truly see the Society becoming the Filipino Community for All that I envisioned it to be!
In my tenure, Filipino Society have been able to collaborate with Filipino Society's across the UK, other Society's here at UCLan as well as with local businesses and establishments. We have been able to run some amazing events that celebrate the diversity, inclusivity and overall good vibes at the core of Filipino Culture, we have been able to grow so much.
I now wish to take a more supportive role as I hope to cultivate UCLan FilSoc's next generation of leaders and I hope to guide them in cultivating the Filipino Society they envision.
