What my previous roles have taught me:
In the last three years, I have taken on various committee roles allowing me to work and collaborate with several individuals, supporting me in developing my teamwork skills. This year as Chair of a society, I learnt the ins and outs of organising events, managing finances which have aided me in enhancing my leadership skills. My experience has come with challenges that have taught me perseverance and have helped me come out of my comfort zone making me confident that I would be able to do justice to the role of Vice Chair.
What I would like to do if I am elected:
If elected as Vice Chair, my goal for next year would be to organise events celebrating our course's diversity and bring together students from all five years. Alongside organising successful events from the past, I would like to organise conferences and mentorship schemes in collaboration with other societies allowing for networking opportunities. I would also love to organise interactive events like games/ quiz nights, arts and crafts events, and open mic allowing our coursemates to show off their talents.
