Hello everyone, I’m Oscar. I’ve been the chair of UCLan Archery this past year, and to date, I have worked over 500 hours of volunteering for the club, doing all the supporting jobs that are needed for us to be able to continue being the cool club that we are.
I have been, at times, the one of two acting committee members, so a good chunk of the responsibilities lied on me. Be it admin work, such as registration of members, communications with other clubs, financial admin, or opening the range to make it available for all of you, twice a week for 5 hours each day. I organised for us to have shirts and hoodies that align with UCLan colours as well as buying some to be loaned out so that everyone can wear the t shirt whether you own one or not. This was mentioned last year by members.
I have also represented you with the SU and AGB extensively, including but not limited to, safety protocols, the risk assessments that I wrote, loads of legal stuff that allowed us all to continue being an archery club.
So far, I’ve tried my best and committed myself a lot to chairing this club, by doing a wide range of tasks both seen by members as well as behind the scenes. I do believe that with a good strong committee next year, I can continue to provide for UCLan Archery and make it even better than it is now.
