Hello everyone!
As a third-year medical student, I am excited to run for the position of Secretary of the Anaesthesia & ICU Society at UCLan. My passion for anaesthetics and ICU was ignited during placement, where I was captivated by the anaesthetist's role in surgery.
If elected, I am committed to providing enriching learning experiences for our members by organising workshops and guest lectures. These workshops will not only enhance our understanding of anaesthetics but also help prepare us for ISCM/MICP exams and OSCEs! Furthermore, I would hope to organize a trip to the annual Royal College of Anaesthetists conference, where our members can network with professionals from around the world and gain invaluable insight into a career in anaesthetics.
Additionally, I aim to enhance our society's online presence through the development of our Instagram account. Collaborating with fellow committee members, I aim to establish a dedicated online platform where members can connect, access study resources, and even collaborate on research projects. Currently, UCLan’s Anaesthesia & ICU Society is not listed among the RCoA's recognised university societies. I believe that bolstering our social media presence will help us get the recognition we deserve.
