Hello fellow members of the Anaesthesia and ICU society, my name is Kaviyarasy Balakrishnan and I am currently in my 4th year of medical school. My passion for anesthesiology and critical care grew during my anaesthetics rotation and attending workshops on airway management, where I gained hands-on experience with tools like video laryngoscopes and endotracheal tubes as well as practicing airway assessments. These experiences fueled my enthusiasm to contribute as secretary and provide similar learning opportunities for our members.
Working alongside the committee, I am determined to enhance the educational experiences of our members. By organising workshops, seminars, and guest lectures tailored to share valuable experiences and provide guidance on strengthening portfolios, I aim to offer valuable learning opportunities that align with our academic pursuits and foster professional development.
Achieving these goals relies on effective communication and collaboration among us all. I will ensure that every member's ideas, concerns, and expectations are heard and addressed, promoting an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute.
