Hi, I'm Kate! I’d love the opportunity to become chair of dance club. The current committee has done an amazing job, and I aim to build upon their successes with fresh ideas and enthusiasm. Joining UCLan in my second year, I looked forward to contributing to the club in my final year.
I have exciting plans for the future, such as organising our own competition, enhancing our social media, and hosting more charity fundraisers. I envision the club as a supportive and vibrant community where everyone feels like family.
With experience as a performing arts teacher and a want to be a dance teacher, I have strong organisational and leadership skills. I’m also very open-minded, good at multitasking, working under pressure and maintaining a positive attitude. My background also includes social media management, which I'll utilise to engage our members and showcase our activities, including comp vlogs, rehearsal footage and dance trends.
I aim to diversify our social events to cater to all preferences and foster stronger friendships through trips and activities. Additionally, I plan to introduce new dance styles plus workshops by external professionals.
As chair, my priority is creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels safe and valued. I want committee members and teachers to enjoy their roles, making the club stress-free and positive. With my innovative ideas and positive mindset, I aim to ensure the club continues to flourish in the coming years.
