I am writing this manifesto to express my interest in the position of the Secretary of the Indian Society at UCLan for the upcoming academic year.
As a first-year student at UCLan, I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in society events, where I had the opportunity to meet new people and expand my social circle. Recognising the significant presence of Indian students on campus, I believe that the Indian Society holds the potential to become one of the largest and most exciting societies in this campus.
In my role as Secretary, I aim to organise several events aimed at bringing together the diverse Indian population at UCLan. These events will provide a platform for students to connect, mingle, and create meaningful relationships, just as I have, within their cultural community. Additionally, I aspire to arrange celebrations for various festivals, offering Indian students a taste of home and comfort during their university life.
I am eager to serve as Secretary and contribute to the growth and success of the Indian Society. Your support and vote would be greatly appreciated, and I look forward to an exciting year of leading the society towards success.
