If we are put under pressure, we can feel anxious and fearful. Anxiety is a normal feeling and we usually cope because we know what is causing it. For instance, most of us will feel anxious before taking a test, but we can cope because we know that we’ll feel better once the test is over. But, if feelings are too strong and don’t go away this can stop us from doing the things we want to. You can talk to UCLan services about feeling anxious or having panic attacks to help you through being a student.
Anxiety UK offers information and help. Living Life to the Full is a free online self-help course for people with anxiety. And the Big White Wall is an online community of people who are feeling anxious who support and help each other by sharing what’s troubling them, guided by trained professionals. Available 24/7, Big White Wall is completely anonymous.
You're not on your own Anxiety: The Motion Picture, shows student experiences and was created by UCLan students.
