Elected by students, for students your Students’ Council is made up of voluntary elected student representatives and your Full Time Elected Officers. Each role on Students' Council has responsibility for representing the views of different groups of students but a general role description can be found here.
Students’ Council decides on Union policy, makes sure that existing policies are put into action and that your Full Time Elected Officers keep standards high across all aspects of the Union.
Students’ Council Members will represent your views, debate constructively on key issues and attend Students’ Council Meetings.
The Council meets three times a year and everyone is welcome at the meetings; anyone can put forward new policy to be discussed through our online voting platform Your Big Ideas.
Elections to become a member of Students’ Council take place in March for the following academic year. If you would like additional information about Students’ Council, the election process or how to get involved please contact email@example.com.
