The Students’ Union Evaluation Initiative
Having worked hard over the last 3 three years to achieve this recognition, we are proud to be able to announce we gained Silver level accreditation!
The Students’ Union Evaluation Initiative (SUEI) is a national assessment model that assists in improving the services and activities delivered to members of Students' Unions by indicating areas for continuous improvement.
This method of assessment involves almost eighty Students' Unions across the UK, who are all externally assessed by SUEI on criteria such as student participation, representation, vision, management, reputation and communication. The Union's current position is determined, and then it is decided how the Union would like to move against the key lines of enquiry in order to make continuous improvement.
Our Volunteering and Employability Manager, Joseph Cooper said: 'Achieving the Students Union Evaluation Initiative Silver Award is testament to many years’ hard work by all the staff, elected officers and student volunteers at UCLan Students’ Union. We should all be very proud that our Union has been assessed against a quality standard that has seen other Unions such as Hull, Leeds and Bath, achieve Silver Awards and Gold Awards because it demonstrates that we really are up there with some of the best Unions around the country'.
SUEI aims to make a positive difference to the lives of students by improving the outcomes of the work of their Students' Unions, and is considered to be the mark of a good Students' Union.
