Students' Council

Students' Council is the highest decision making and policy setting body of the Students’ Union.  It’s made up of an elected chairperson and elected student representatives. The Council’s membership is completed by representatives from all our student forums. The Student Affairs Committee also sit on the Council and have voting rights.

The Council decides on Union policy, mandates the trustees to put policies into action and ensures the Student Affairs Committee keep standards high across all aspects of the Union.

Everyone’s welcome at Students’ Council meetings and anyone can propose a new policy, but the best way to get your voice heard is to get in touch with your Council representative.

To submit a motion to council you can use the template which can be found here (DOC).

All motions must be submitted to yourunion@uclan.ac.uk five university days before each meeting.
