Partner Institutions
Although you may be one of the 5,000 students who are not studying on the main UCLan campus in Preston, UCLan Students' Union is still your union, so it is important for you to make the most of what we offer.
Any student registered at the University of Central Lancashire automatically becomes a member of the Union, therefore able to use all of the services we provide.
In the past, our Partner Institution Course Reps haven't had all the support they could have had from the Students' Union- well that is about to change.
Your SAC
The Student Affairs Committee are elected representatives of the student body at UCLan, and they are there to represent all students, including those at partner institutions. The SAC consist of the President (Edd Graham-Hyde), Activities and Participations Officer (Ben Latham), Campaigns Officer (Lee Mac), Education Officer (Joey Guy) and Media Officer (Sophie Bennett). For more information on the SAC, click here.
Advice
The Students’ Union Advice Centre is an independent service available to all students. The Advice Centre are able to advise and represent all of UCLan’s partner institution students on areas such as student finance, academic issues and benefits. You can contact the Advice Centre on SUAdvice@uclan.ac.uk, or calling 01772 894880.
Course reps
All partner institution students are able to elect course reps to represent their course at liaison meeting with lecturers. The Students’ Union provide an online training programme that course reps are required to complete at the start of term in order to equip them for their course rep role throughout the year. Elected course reps can access this through E Learn and Remote Access.
Student Media
Partner colleges are welcome to make use of all the SU media outlets, including PSTV, Pluto and Frequency. If you are interested in volunteering for any of the student media outlets, please email Keron Knight at sumedia@uclan.ac.uk.
