Towards the end of this month, we are celebrating student achievements this year with the Union Awards.

Hosted in 53 Degrees on Friday 27th April, it will be a chance to reward and thank those who have done sterling work this year. Student employees, societies, media volunteers and student representatives (which includes course reps, school reps and student council) will all be the subject of awards.

Tickets will be available soon, and they may cost £5 but that does save you money at the bar. It includes a drink voucher for two alcoholic drinks or four non-alcoholic drinks as well as food.

We are working to find suitable prizes for as many awards as possible, and every winner will get at least a certificate, and all the winners will have their photograph taken.

The dress-code for the evening will be smart, so get out your best suits and dresses for the evening. It really will be an evening to celebrate achievements by you and your friends. What could be better?
