Are you the next School Rep?
Applications are now open for the School Rep positions.
Apply now to become a School Rep!
There are two ways of becoming a School Rep…
Write up to two sides of A4 and email it to coursereps@uclan.ac.uk on why you think you would be perfect for the role of School Rep. You can be as wacky or formal as you like in the application but we want to know about you, what you want to achieve and how you would listen to students and support Course Reps in your School.
Or
Submit a 2-minute video on Youtube saying why you should be a Course Rep. Then, send it to us @uclansu on Twitter using the hashtag #reps2012. Drop us an email at coursereps@uclan.ac.uk to let us know you have posted the video. Examples of good and not so good videos can be found (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-Yw4pRTIC8) and (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTJsOfqwSRo).
A couple of the Student Affairs Committee (SAC) will look at the reasoning of why you want to become a School Rep as well as your understanding of the importance of the role.
When applying be sure to include your name, course, school you are applying for and contact phone number and email address. If you are submitting a video please send contact details via email.
As a School Rep you get additional benefits including the opportunity to take on an externally ILM centre operated managing volunteers course, additional employability transferable skills, a free School Rep hoodie and mentoring from staff members in carrying out your role.
If you have any questions about the role please email coursereps@uclan.ac.uk
Please send up to two sides of A4 or your video by the end of Monday 29th October.
