My sincere apology
Statement from the Education Officer
I sincerely regret the content of my Twitter account. I am someone who has never had to go through the pain and turmoil of those involved and that is something that should not be joked about. I would also like to apologise to University Of Central Lancashire Students’ Union and the University Of Central Lancashire for any negative light I may have shone on them. I acted in a personal capacity, and it would be unfair for them to be bought into disrepute.
I love my job and working with students. I have their best interest at heart and I am devastated that my actions have bought that into debate. I want to now take this opportunity to learn from my mistakes and develop personally and also do more to help others. I want to be able to use my influence as an SU Officer in a positive way, rather than abusing it as I so did.
I can only apologise for what I have done. I have also decided to leave Twitter with immediate effect. I ask for your forgiveness at this time and your understanding that this was a mistake and one I hope to rectify with my future actions.
Thank you.
