Want to be on Students’ Council?
We're looking to elect an International Students’, Post Graduate Students’, Disabled Students’ Representitive and a Student Council member.
All the posts will sit on the Union’s Council which meets once a month to discuss issues important to UCLan students.
The coming year is an important one for higher education. Our Students’ Union needs passionate, confident voices to make sure that changes in higher education from 2012 are student centred. Our students union is a democracy. We’re an organisation that’s open and responsive to student-led change. Whether its education issues, enjoyment or employment that you’re passionate about, standing for election brings you that little bit closer to making a worthwhile change.
All you need to stand is to complete a nomination form from Suelections@uclan.ac.uk. You will need to get two other students to nominate you and must give the completed nomination form to the Union Reception by noon on Tuesday 9th October. Voting is on the 15th and 16th October with the results announced on the 16th.
Edd Graham-Hyde Union President said “If you are somebody that believes things can always be improved, would like to be involved in the day to day running of the Students’ Union and would like to campaign on things that could potentially even make national changes happen – then stand for election. It’s the right thing to do.”
