At the Bridge we offer a major resource for business of all kinds. With access to around 35,000 students, we can help you fill any temporary, part time or vacation role quickly, suitably and cost effectively.
Why should I advertise with you and not another agency?
We operate in a similar way to a high street recruitment agency but we are actually part of the University. Our office is based on the ground floor of the Students’ Union building, the office is open from Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm throughout the whole year. Our candidates are only current students or recent graduates.
The money raised from the supply of temporary staff helps to fund the Bridge which is here to support the students of UCLan with employment and a very valuable service to many students.
How can I advertise a vacancy with you?
Contact The Bridge for a vacancy form, or download our vacancy form, once completed return it to thebridge@uclan.ac.uk
We charge a standard rate of £20 (plus VAT) per vacancy per month, your advert will be displayed on the vacancies board in the Bridge and also on our website.
An annual subscription is also available at £100 (plus VAT), this entitles you to unlimited adverts for one year.
For UCLan empoyers please provide a PO number and we can send you an invoice for payment
By advertising a vacancy with The Bridge you agree to abide by our code of practice.
How can I make my advert stand out to students?
We offer a CRM-Email services which could help you find students to fill your roles:
A CRM is an email sent out to our registered students advertising your vacancy, the cost being £80 (plus VAT), this email can be tailored to your specific recruiting needs ie: course, location and year of study etc. (please speak to a member of the team for more details).
Exhibition space is also available in the Students’ Union foyer to help promote your vacancies, this is an ideal way to speak direct with our student, give out application forms or set up interviews, please contact us for pricing.
We can also offer interview rooms for you to use. These are private and quiet. Please call us on 01772 894894 for rates and more information.
What type of staff can you offer?
Whether you are looking to recruit and hire candidates for temporary contracts, casual jobs, one off events or special projects then we can help. Our office has two full time experienced recruiters and always ensure that the right staff is hired for you.
We can provide you with staff for a few hours or a few months and have a unique and diverse range of candidates who are motivated, flexible and enthusiastic. Recently we have supplied staff for various roles including mystery shopping, security, administration, cleaners, call centre staff, web designers, IT specalists, conference staff and many more.
Do you offer an agency service?
Yes. Our agency service is expanding rapidly and we’re able to tap into a large pool of experienced students who are willing to work at short notice. We can fill a wide range of vacancies, if you wuld like to hire staff either call The Bridge office for more details or complete the Agency form external company / Agency form UCLan employer, and sign our Terms of Business and email to thebridge@uclan.ac.uk we will then contact you.
What are your agency rates?
We charge a flat fee of only 70p per person per hour. For example, if you pay the student £6.50 per hour, we will charge you £8.80 + VAT:
