At the Bridge we offer a major resource for business of all kinds. With access to around 35,000 students, we can help you fill any temporary, part time or vacation role quickly, suitably and cost effectively.

Download the vacancy form, complete the form and return it to The Bridge with your vacancy details on.
We charge a standard rate of £20 (plus VAT) per vacancy per month. Your advert will be displayed on the vacancies board in the Bridge and also on our website.
An annual subscription is also available at £100 (plus VAT). This entitles you to unlimited adverts for one academic year.
By advertising a vacancy with The Bridge you agree to abide by the code of practice.
How can I make my advert stand out to students?
We offer other services which could help you find students to fill your roles:
- An e-shot, an email sent out to all our registered students advertising your vacancy. £50 (plus VAT)
- Exhibition space in The Bridge, a space at the front of our agency in the Students’ Union to promote your vacancy. £100 a day (plus VAT).
We are also able to offer interview rooms for you to use. These are private and quiet. Please call us on 01772 89 4894 for rates and more information.
What type of staff can you offer?
Whether you are looking to recruit and hire candidates for temporary contracts, casual jobs, one off events or special projects then we can help. Our office has two full time experienced recruiters and always ensures that the right staff are hired for you.
We can provide you with staff for a few hours or a few months and have a unique and diverse range of candidates who are motivated, flexible and enthusiastic. Recently we have supplied staff for various roles including mystery shopping, security, administration, cleaners and many more.
Do you offer an agency service?Yes. Our agency service is expanding rapidly and we’re able to tap into a large pool of experienced students who are willing to work at short notice. We can fill a wide range of vacancies.

By advertising a vacancy with The Bridge agency you agree to the terms of business.
We charge a flat fee of only 70p per person per hour. For example, if you pay the student £6.50 per hour, we will charge you £8.80 + VAT:

Why should I advertise with you and not another agency?
We operate in a similar way to a high street recruitment agency but we are actually part of the University. Our office is based on the ground floor of the Students’ Union building the office is open from Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm throughout the whole year. Our only candidates are current students and recent graduates, which means that our work force is intelligent and educated to a high level.
The money raised from the supply of temporary staff helps to fund the Bridge which is here to support the students of UCLan with employment and a very valuable service to many students.
Can I come to your recruitment fairs and graduate fairs?
We hold recruitment days throughout the year and also graduate fairs. These offer an excellent chance to promote your organisation and vacancies to students looking for work.
Intro recruitment day – September – £150 per stand per day - This is a fair for new and returning students who are looking for part-time and temporary work for the coming year. A stand at this event is an excellent opportunity to catch students with a wide range of experience and skills. This event takes place in The Students' Union Foyer11am-4pm. Download booking form.
Mini recruitment day – £125 per stand, this event takes place in May for students who are looking for jobs, either full or part-time, over the summer break. This event takes place in the Students’ Union foyer 11am-4pm
Graduate fair – variable rates depending on organisation – Run in conjunction with the University careers department, the event this year is on Thursday 19th November it is aimed at employers recruiting final year or placement students. Stand space is 3m x 2m. £350 for recruitment agencies. £300 for employers, public sector bodies and postgraduate course providers. £150 for charities and voluntary organisations. Can I employ international students through you?
Yes. As an employer you need to ensure that you see either of the following original documents and that it relates to the person they wish to employ:
A passport or national identity card issued by a state which is a party to the European Economic Area Agreement and which describes the holder as a national of that state
Or
A passport or other travel document endorsed to show that the person named has current leave to enter or remain in the UK and is not precluded from taking the employment in question
Employers should make a copy or record of this document.
