Students can get information on the go

The University has launched an app for the iPhone that includes information about the Students' Union.

Students can download the app, for free, to their iPhone and access the latest news and listings from the Union, plus access Lancashire Tickets and buy tickets for the latest events through their phone.

The app has been developed by the Learning and Information Services department at UCLan and also gives students details of services available on campus, maps of the University and news from the University.

There are also quick links to Groupwise Webmail, the staff directory, the Student Lobby page, library room bookings, library catalogue and printing top-up credit.

The app is available now to download from the Apple App Store, just search for 'UCLan' in the App Store search box.

Future developments include making use of the iPhone location functionality to improve the search of services across campus as well as a new push news service.
