UCLan Trampolining Club take Rose Cup 2010!

UCLan Trampolining host the first 'Rose Cup'...and win!

UCLan Trampolining hosted their first National competition last week.

 
The competiton named 'The Rose Cup' will now be staged annually due to the great success seen in its first year. The weekend of 30/31st January saw 55 competitors from 5 universities head to Preston for a 'beachwear' themed social at The Source Bar. The following morning competitors from UCLan, Bradford, Manchester, Leeds and Lancaster Universities competed individually and as a team, for the cup itself.

 
UCLan walked away with the cup finishing a whole 12.5 points infront of second place Lancaster!

 
Individually UCLan totalled 8 Medals. Ashley Rodgers and Rosie Cockett took Gold and Silver respectively in the Novice event. Cassandra Waugh took the silver medal in the Intermediate Women's event, with Jonathon Wort also taking Silver in the Men's Interemediate event. In the InterAdvanced event Simone Cavell and Sorrell Walsh saw off stiff competition eventually taking Gold and Silver medals respectively. Natalie Nash won Bronze medal in the Advanced event and Helena Boryslawskyj completed the medal hual by taking Gold in the Elite category.
