Students' Council elections announced

Want to represent your fellow students?
A by-election will be held in November 2009 to find four new representatives for the Students' Council.
The positions available in the election are Students with Disabilities representative, Women's representative, Black Students' representative and Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transexual (LGBT) representative.
These positions are voluntary and the student elected will attend monthly council meetings to represent the views of students to the Union and influence Union and University policy. Full training is provided for these roles.
Union President, Beth Woodthorpe-Evans, said: "Being part of Students' Council can really enhance your time at university and really improve your CV and make you stand out to employers in a competitive job market."
Nominations open on Monday 12th October 2009 and you can download an application pack from the elections mini-site, or pick up a pack from the Union reception.
Nominations close on Thursday 22nd October 2009 at 12 NOON.
Voting will run online from Monday 9th November 2009 to Wednesday 11th November 2009.
