Source bar unveils weekly line-up
From poker to karaoke to relentless cocktails, Union bar's great events
Source, the Union's bar, has announced its weekly line-up of events for the 2009/2010 academic year.
There's some old favourites, such as Saturdays At Source and Okey Dokey Karaoke but a few new arrivals will be jostling for space in your calender.
The Student Poker League kicks off the week on a Monday night. If you fancy a game, and the opportunity to win prizes and compete in a national student poker tournament then this is for you.
Tuesday nights our popular Okey Dokey Karaoke is back, as students sing their hearts out to classic tunes and modern anthems. No talent needed.
Wednesday and Thursday nights and it's Back 2 You, our innovative scheme that allows sports clubs to earn points, which turn into cash, for their club.
Thursday nights are also Premo, the perfect warm-up to Promo, the biggest and best student night in Preston at 53 Degrees. Cheap drinks and if you're on an early-bird ticket you can stroll straight across the bridge to 53 Degrees without any of that queing nonsense.
Fridays see a new addition to the line-up as we get Saucy, with great music and relentless cocktails only £2 it's a top way to celebrate the weekend.
Saturdays is our old favourite, the legendary Saturdays At Source continue as hundreds of students cram in to party the weekend away.
Sundays and it's a more relaxed feel as the Quiz takes centre stage and there's also Rock & Roll Bingo for the music lovers to win some great prizes.
We're also serving food every day, and we've got a new menu. Plus we've refreshed our cocktails menu, for all your drinking needs.
Live sport will be shown on our big screens throughout the semester, so check the fixtures and chances are we'll be showing it.
