Opportunity to be a student trustee
Chance to help run the Union
The Union is looking to recruit a student trustee to sit on the Board of Trustees.
The Union plays a large and influential role in the lives of students providing a range of free membership services such as independent advice, employment services and venues.
Union President and Chair of the Board of Trustees, Beth Woodthorpe-Evans, said: "Being a student trustee is both an exciting and excellent opportunity for the right person.
"The position is a very rewarding role, and along with the rest of the board you will be helping to shape all areas of the union, from our commercial services to sporting opportunities we offer to our students."
The trustee board is made up of five directly elected student representatives, the Student Affairs Committee, three external trustees (currently two have been recruited) and two student trustees.
Woodthorpe-Evans continues: "Potential student trustees will share our values and mission as a student union, and want to be an active part in helping create a Union that continues to make life better for students.
"If you can see yourself as a potential student trustee then this is an exceptional opportunity that I urge everyone to really think about."
Being a student trustee will add weight to your CV and could prove useful when applying for jobs and showing that you can handle responsibility.
