Have you applied for a tuition fee loan?

University to invoice 3,000 students

Nearly 3,000 UCLan students will be invoiced for outstanding tuition fees in early 2010.

Students who have not applied for a tuition fee loan from Student Finance England will face a bill for a year's worth of tuition.

If you have not applied for a tuition fee loan you must speak to Student Finance England as soon as possible to arrange a tuition fee loan or pay the invoice when you receive it.

The University will remove computer access and library access from mid-January for all those with outstanding fees.

A spokesperson for the Union Advice Centre said: "We have been assured by the University that students who can prove that they have now applied for the tuition fee loan will not have their computer facilities removed.

"We advise you to get in touch with the Advice Centre if you are concerned about this matter and for us to prove to the University that you have made the necessary arrangements."

The Advice Centre will be open on Tuesday 22nd December and Wednesday 23rd December between 11 AM - 3 PM. It re-opens on Monday 4th January at 11 AM.

You can phone the Advice Centre on 01772 89 4880 or email suadvice@uclan.ac.uk
