Film society seek volunteers

Projectionists needed for film nights

The film society are looking for volunteer projectionists ahead of the start of the new academic year.

Chairperson Lyndsey Carter said: "This is a great chance to get involved in the society and also learn new skills that will help your CV.

"We're hoping to recruit as many volunteers as possible and get ready for a fun and productive year."

The society are currently looking for volunteers to help out with projection on the following dates:

14th & 28th July

11th August

26th - 31st August

5th-10th October

12th- 18th October

26th-28th, 30th October

All available volunteers should be willing to take part in the projectionist training (simple enough), and then volunteer their time to help out at these dates/events. It has been worked out that at any showing we will be needing at least 3 volunteers; 2 in the projection room, and 1 in the box office (any other volunteers who are willing to help out could help with ushering, taking tickets etc.).

The society are also looking for volunteers to write reviews and help with the marketing and publicity of the society and its events.
