When would you prefer your semester 1 exams to be?

Students have the opportunity to decide when their Semester 1 exams should take place.
"In the academic year 2008/09 a decision was made to move the traditional semester 1 examination week from January to December.
UCLan Students and the Student Affairs Committee at the time were consulted about this decision and it was believed that doing so would enhance the student experience; students would be free from revising over Christmas and able to take up temporary paid employment, for example. It was also thought that if exams were after Christmas but a student did not have exams as a method of assessment, they instead had a long period of non-contact with the University. However, there are a few disadvantages to the move. Students are now being examined on a subject that may have been taught to them as little as a few days before.
So now, two years on, we want to know whether the decision to move the academic calendar is the right one. We desperately want to know your views as students and your experience of the system.
Please take 5 minutes to fill in this simple survey.
Your response will inform the decision making process.
Help us to make life better for students."
