Essentials

Essentials is the Union's convenience store, located slap bang in the heart of campus and open 7 days a week in term time. Stocking everything from sweets and crisps to frozen and tinned goods, Essentials is supplied by the Co-Op to guarantee you great quality, value for money and ethically sourced products. It's the best place to go if you want a quick snack or need a few things for dinner. We also have an off licence including Fairtrade wines.

We have constant promotions on to help your money stretch further, including our £2.89 meal deal and discounted daily newspapers

Essentials also stocks many Fairtrade items and has a selection of special South East Asian foods.

Most of our staff members are students and we pride ourselves on our friendly, no-hassle service. Any profits made are ploughed back into the Union in order to fund our services such as the Advice Centre, Bridge and Student Involvement and Development.
 
Essentials is open from 8am – 10pm weekdays, and 9am – 6pm at weekends in term time.

Our opening hours until Sat 10th Jan are:

Mon 5^th Jan:           8.30 – 6

Tues 6^th Jan:           8.30 – 6      

Weds 7^th Jan:        Closed for stocktaking until approx 2pm. Open until 6pm

Thurs 8^th Jan:         8.30 – 6      

Fri 9^th Jan:              8.30 – 6

Sat 10^th Jan:           Normal opening hours resume
